The Inman Aligner is a removable appliance which allows straightening of the upper or lower front teeth. This convenient, removable orthodontic appliance allows many people with cosmetic issues to have them easily corrected. The Inman Aligner is a retainer-like appliance that can be removed to eat or drink that quickly and safely aligns the front teeth, creating a beautiful smile.
How Does it Work?
The Inman Aligner is created using a system of nickel titanium coil springs that power two aligner bows that gently oppose each other. This combination of opposing forces is what gently guides the teeth into their new position. The inner bow pushes the teeth forward, while the outer bow pulls back on the front teeth. This combination of forces is what allows your teeth to move into a beautiful, straight smile.
Treatment times vary patient to patient, however typically last between 6 to 18 weeks. The Inman Aligners is typically much faster than traditional orthodontic treatments.
What is Treatment Like?
Treatment using the Inman Aligner trays is usually quick and easy. Before your treatment can begin, impressions will be made of your teeth so that your custom aligner trays can be created for you. Your Inman Aligner trays will then need to be fitted to ensure the correct movement of the teeth. You will need to wear your aligner tray at least 16-20 hours per day.
Every 2 to 3 weeks you will need regular checks to ensure that your teeth are moving correctly. Once you have completed your treatment, you will be required to wear a retainer to ensure your teeth do not relapse.
